| Lake Hills Email Announcement System
We are pleased to kickoff the long overdue
Lake Hills Email Announcement System. After researching various
options for a bulk email distribution system, we decided to use freeware
host, Yahoo! Groups. In summary, our group, LHA_Members,
is designed for mass email distribution to registered members from the
President or other designated Board members. This tool will be
a great help getting the word out for important events and announcements
in a timely manner. Please review the below to get started.
LHA_Members group details and usage
guidelines:
- Group Name: LHA_Members
- For distribution of authorized
announcements from LHA Board to LHA members only
- For official LHA business
only
- Not intended or designed for
use as a user forum
- For use by registered LHA
members only
- Yahoo! account is not
required
- Replies or posts to the group
are not supported. For correspondence with LHA Board, use contact
info posted on LHA web site.
- Emails will appear From: lha.group@yahoo.com,
with Subject containing [LHA_Members]
- Two email addresses per household
permitted to register
- Once registered, members will
receive a confirmation email
- Since Yahoo! Groups is freeware,
Yahoo is at liberty to include ads and other links in the emails
REGISTER
for LHA_Members Group:
To register for LHA_Members, email
AsstTreasurer@LakeHillsFairfield.com with the following required
info:
- Email Subject: LHA_Members
Registration
- Full Name on LHA account:
- Street Address:
- Phone#:
- Tag#:
- Email Address #1:
- Email Address #2:
NOTE: We have hundreds of emails
to verify and add to the group. Please accurately provide all
required info above.
UNSUBSCRIBE
from LHA_Members Group:
If you no longer wish
to receive emails sent to the LHA_Members group:
- Click the Unsubscribe
link at the bottom of an LHA_Members group email.
- This will compose an email
to LHA_Members-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com with your unsubscribe
request. Send email.
- You will be sent an email
to confirm your unsubscribe request.
- After receipt of your confirmation,
your address will automatically be removed from the group.
CHANGE Emails Already Registered:
- Unsubscribe address you which
to change per UNSUBSCRIBE instructions above.
- Repeat registration instructions
per REGISTER section above with following changes (3-4).
- In Email Subject type, LHA_Members
Registration CHANGE
- Include your Old Email
Address: so that we can update our database.
