LHA's Lake Safe Pledge

Calling all Volunteers If you signed up at the annual meeting to canvass your neighbors' homes with materials to introduce the LHA Ecology Committee's Lake Safe Pledge, we are sponsoring a free lunch event for you.

When: Saturday, April 28, 1:00-2:30 - Picnic lunch provided by the Eco committee

Where: Beach 4

RSVP: racheljdreyfus@gmail.com so we get a count for lunch. All volunteers welcome even if you did not sign up previously.

What is the Lake Safe Pledge? As members of Lake Hills, we are by default the guardians of Samp Mortar Lake. We need to be knowledgeable of the journey of plant nutrients, chemicals and debris from our yards to our Lake and their subsequent impact to the lake environment.

Actions we take can protect our Lake and extend its life cycle. As such, the Ecology Committee is leading the effort to increase awareness and commitment from members for sustaining our Lake. The Lake Safe Pledge signifies our commitment to adhering to the top five most important behaviors to start, continue or stop doing for the health of our lake, and to educating others who may not be aware.

Collectively, we can make a difference. Help out on your own time this spring to educate our neighbors. It will take just a few hours to participate in this important initiative.
